Meet Authors at Buxton Village Books

Rock The Cape will celebrate the literary arts at Buxton Village Books with two special, free events featuring authors Dixie Burris Browning and Andrew Lawler.


On Sunday, June 1 at 1pm author Andrew Lawler will be at Buxton Village Books sharing research from his book “The Secret Token. Myth, Obsession and the Search for the Lost Colony of Roanoke.”


Buxton Village Books will host an afternoon tea with author and artist Dixie Burrus Browning on Saturday, June 8 at 3:30pm where guests can meet Dixie, view her artwork and learn about her books.


Both of these events are free and open to the public.

Journal Writing Workshop at Buxton Village Books

Explore  journal writing with a variety of techniques on Thursday, June 13 from 7pm to 8:30pm at Buxton Village Books.

Whether for productivity, mindfulness or storytelling, keeping a journal can be fun and practical. Start from scratch or refine your established practice.  The workshop will be led by Amberly Dyer, MSW, a holistic life coach based on Hatteras Island. $25 price includes supplies.
