about Rock The cape
Rock the Cape was started by Dare County Arts Council in 2012 as an initiative to celebrate and promote the galleries, artists, and artistic community on Hatteras Island.
The annual event is held at the beginning of summer as a way to kick off the busy season on the island.
Now in its seventh year, Rock The Cape returns to the island in May 2019 with a full slate of arts activities, including an art show, live art demonstrations, a concert, literary arts, and much more.
This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
Dare County Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Dare County.
